In just McVay's third season as head coach, and Taylor's very first as the MUT 23 ltds quarterback coach Goff was a success and the Rams reached into the Super Bowl. The young team wasn't ready to challenge the Patriots however, the potential of their youthful offensive minded strategy resulted in huge rewards.
The Bengals recognized Taylor's potential too and as it was an elation when McVay was hired in Los Angeles, it was an incredible experience to see Cincinnati introduce the QB coach as the head of their team. The organization didn't want to be waiting, and knowing that they required a quarterback with the potential Taylor could develop, stunned everyone in the Madden NFL 23 community.
In his third season with the Bengals, Zac Taylor is now playing in the Super Bowl, just as McVay played in the game in his second season. Two teams jumped leaps of confidence to put these two offensive geniuses on the team, but there is no doubt that without McVay throwing Taylor a lifeline, he's not in this situation -or possibly struggling to make his mark as a college football player.
The Rams are now in their second chance to win the Lombardi Trophy under McVay. They're the old team trying to take down the promising young team like the expense of the Patriots did to them in the year 2018. At the forefront of it both are remarkably similar coaches that owe much to each other and regardless of what happens, both are ready to rule their conferences for the next decade.Grade: B+
Conner became a crucial part of the Cardinals offensive attack this season when he was selected for his second Pro Bowl, rushing for 15 touchdowns throughout the season. He was also one of the best running backs on the market, and would have gotten plenty of attention, and I am impressed with the value Arizona got here a lot.
If you contrast it with Chase Edmonds, who went for $6.4M a year to the Dolphins, Conner's $7M is an absolute steal, even with performance escalators which could raise the price higher.
